Forevermark dazzles at the 74th Golden Globe and SAG awards 2017
2017 got off to a sparkling start as stars of stage and screen took to the red carpet at two of Hollywood’s most glamorous events; the 23rd Annual Screen Actors Guild (SAG) Awards and the Golden Globes.
From beautiful designer gowns, to remarkable diamond accents, a preponderance of elongated silhouettes and slender forms chimed perfectly with the current mood for pared back elegance and a relaxed but thoughtful attitude to luxury.
At the SAG Awards, actress Ellie Kemper embodied this trend in a pair of stunning Forevermark diamond pendulum earrings and Forevermark Ring with Asscher Exceptional Diamond.
Orange is the New Black’s Dascha Polanco’s stylish Forevermark double knot cuff typified the look, with its light-as-air ‘open-work’ design. The exquisite cocktail rings worn by Veep star Anna Chlumsky and singer Janelle Monae, featuring large central Forevermark diamonds, were framed to perfection by orbiting diamond pavé bands.
“As showstoppers go, these are hard to beat,” adds Federica Imperiali, Head of New Product Development at Forevermark. “The lace-like nature of the designs means that even statement diamond pieces are an absolute joy to wear.”
As a new generation of stars enjoyed their moment in the spotlight, a display of innovative jewellery ideas were seen on the red carpet. The appearance of oxidized gold settings showcased diamonds to amazing effect. The inclusion of a central diamond pendant element added a modern flourish to diamond chokers. Layering – another superb way to achieve a contemporary look – saw diamond strands charmingly wrapped around necks and wrists, and fingers bedecked with multiple rings.
Whilst modernity is certainly a trend on the rise, a timeless aesthetic is still very much a red carpet favourite. The look was exemplified in diamond encrusted cocktail rings with a large central stone – such as the De Beers Forevermark Diamond and Pavé Marquis Ring worn by Ellie Kemper – and elegant stud drop earrings.
At the SAGs, Art Deco influences inspired a movement-filled De Beers Forevermark by Maria Canale Deco Diamond tassel necklace worn by Dascha Polanco and Anna Chlumsky’s alluring hexagon motif earrings.

In keeping with the romantic vintage vibe, feathers and wings also emerged as a key inspiration, most notably in singer Janelle Monae’s delicate De Beers Forevermark diamond earrings at the Golden Globes.
“De Beers Forevermark diamonds continue their reign on the red carpet,” said Federica Imperiali, as the events came to a close. “With so many original and exciting designs coming to the fore, we look forward with great anticipation to see how these trends evolve at the Academy Awards later this month.”
